We are situated opposite All Saints Church, in the centre of the village of Cople, off the A603 between Bedford and Sandy. We draw our pupils from the village itself, but also welcome applications for places (subject to availability) from outside our catchment area.
The school was founded by the Duke of Bedford in 1869 and is housed both in the original Victorian building and in modern extensions. It consists of three classrooms and flexible learning spaces including a library, ICT area and a lovely kitchen for food technology. Our reception class, housed in a brand new classroom (replacing the old classroom in 2015) also benefits from a covered outdoor learning space providing a natural extension to the classroom all year round.
We have a separate timber built school hall, opened in 2014 providing facilities for indoor PE, whole school assemblies and lunch as well as other activities.
Outside, we have a good sized playground at the front of the school and a small field at the rear for play and outdoor PE. There is a range of fixed play apparatus, an environmental area including a pond and raised beds for the children to grow flowers and vegetables.
Our intake number is 15 and we currently have 72 children on roll.
